Background



Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur, is a tertiary care center for mental health services, which cater to patients from the North-Eastern part of this country. It has comprehensive mental health care facilities for teaching, patient care services and research. The TeleMedicine Center was started during the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020 to provide all aspects of Tele-Health services to the patients of LGBRIMH, Registered Medical Practitioner (RMP), and Other Health Care Workers (HCW). A standard operating procedure was prepared by a faculty team in line with the Tele-Medicine Guidelines released by the Board of Governors in supersession of MCI on the 25th of March 2020.

A Logo was designed for representation of the services provided. The Central Dark Chatbox icon represents the consultation through digital media, and the Stethoscope represents the field of medicine. Names of both the parent institute (LGBRIMH) and TeleMedicine Center are present in the logo, conveying a clear message of the type of services provided.
