LGBRIMH has been taking up various measures and activities to contain transmission of COVID-19. Since the time covid-19 was declared as a pandemic the various departments of LGBRIMH have been involved in spreading awareness and precautionary measures related to this pandemic.

From 1st April, 2020 LGBRIMH has been running Psycho-social support and mental health services helplines in collaboration with NIMHANS. Volunteers from the departments of Clinical Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, Psychiatric Social Work have so far attended to over 11,000 calls all over India for COVID related information and mental health support during pandemic. The helpline has been coordinating by coordinators Dr. Vijay Gogoi (Coordinator), Dr. Sobhana H, Dr. Diptarup Choudhary, Dr. Nurnahar Ahmed.
