What is SHe-Box?

SHe-Box (Sexual Harassment Electronic Box) is an online Complaint Management System launched by the Ministry of Women & Child Development, Government of India for lodging complaints related to workplace sexual harassment.

Any woman working or visiting any office of the Central Government — including Autonomous Bodies and Institutions like LGBRIMH — can file a complaint related to workplace sexual harassment through this portal. The complainant can also track the status of her complaint at any time.

Who Can File a Complaint?

Key Features of the Portal

Legal Basis

SHe-Box has been developed in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act). The Act mandates every employer to provide a safe and secure working environment free from sexual harassment and requires constituting an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) in every workplace with more than 10 employees.

Note: Filing a false or malicious complaint is also an offence under the POSH Act. All complaints are handled with due confidentiality and sensitivity.
